I am already an OHF sponsor. Can I upgrade my package?
Yes. Many of the sponsor packages offered by the OHF can be upgraded. To identify the deadlines and amounts required to obtain a higher package level please see the Upgrade Schedule.
Are donations refundable?
Generally they are not. The donations you provide are properly considered tax-deductible contributions (and not a fee-for-service transactions) and applied directly to the OHF operating fund. However, the OHF will work with you to assign your benefits to a different party in the instance circumstances prevent you from taking full advantage of benefits that already attach.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations (both offline and online) are considered tax-deductible. Both The Open Hearth Foundation, Inc. and our online donation form service provider (Groundspring.org) are federally recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations.
Can I combine my individual membership benefits with my group's package benefits?
Generally you cannot. Except where otherwise indicated, all the packages (which include the individual membership program) operate separate from each other and the benefits of one cannot be combined with another. However, it can makes sense to obtain multiple sponsorships when they offer different rewards. For example, commercial enterprises may be interested in taking part in the Spark, Hearth, and the FrOTH Associate levels - each of which have their own unique benefits.
What kind of promotional exposure can I expect with my package?
Currently the OHF email announcement list has well over 1,100 subscribers, making it one of the largest Pagan email lists serving the Washington, DC region. The Open Hearth Resource Guide has a target circulation of 3000. The Spring Ball regularly receives over 140 guests, and the various events comprising DC Pagan Pride Week are typically visited over 400 times, 200 of which occur the last day of the week (the DC Pagan Pride Day). As of this writing, the OHF has over 40 individual members. The OHF’s award-winning website receives over 150 unique visitors on an average day.
