The Washington · Northern Virginia · Baltimore Pagan Pride Week gets off to a wonderful start with the first-ever Northern Virginia Pagan Pride Day!
A free and open event, the inaugural Northern Virginia Pagan Pride Day will take place on Saturday, September 8 and feature vending, workshops, live music, drumming, a charity book and canned food drive, and the opening ritual of the Washington · Northern Virginia · Baltimore Pagan Pride Week.

- 10:00 A.M. Northern Virginia PPD Opens
- 11:00 A.M. Nature Walk; Stav and Stance Demo by Fire and Ice
- 12:00 P.M. Pagan Pride Week Opening Ritual led by MoonFire
- 01:00 P.M. Workshops: Herb Magic by Samantha; Intention and Touch by Whitney
- 02:00 P.M. Workshops: Harvest Magic by Jeanet Ewing; Stav and Stance Demo by
Fire and Ice
- 03:00 P.M. Drumming Circle led by Michael from Kindlers of the Sacred Rhythm. Drumming to continue through closing.
- 04:00 P.M. Northern Virginia Pagan Pride Day Closes
- 04:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Site breakdown and cleanup
WHAT TO BRING
- Water from your home area for use during the opening ritual.
- Drums to participate in the drum circles.
- A Picnic Lunch to enjoy at the park. A grill is available on site.
- Blankets & Folding Chairs to spread out and get comfortable.

Vendors Row: Get your shop on! Browse the goods and services being offered by several area vendors.
Event and Table Sponsors: Meet and greet! Collect information on a wide variety of Pagan organizations in our area.
Educational Workshops: Attend and participate in presentations highlighting religious and metaphysical topics.
Charitable Donations: Bring a Pagan or Pagan related book for the OHF Lending Library, and a canned food item.
DIRECTIONS:
Lake Accotink Park
McLaren-Sargent Shelter. Springfield, VA
From the Beltway (I-495): Take exit 54B (Braddock Road) east ½ mile.
Right on Heming Avenue. Park entrance is to the right.
From Old Keene Mill Road: If taking Old Keene Mill Road west, turn right on Hanover Avenue OR
If taking Old Keene Mill Road east, turn left on Hanover Avenue. Turn right on Highland Street.
Turn left on Backlick Road. Turn left on Leesville Boulevard. Turn left on Heming Avenue.
Park entrance is to the right.
Look for the balloons and sign at the entrance to the parking on Heming Avenue.
NOTE: There are two parking areas. If you are using some other direction routing method (MapQuest, Yahoo, etc), the address for the lot closest to the shelter is:
5660 Heming Avenue, Springfield, VA 22150.
