Several volunteer positions are needed for this year's Pagan Pride Week. Please look over the positions below, and fill out the following form to let us know what you'd like to do to help make the event a success.
If you have a skill you believe would be useful to the event that you don't see listed here, please write Shea at shea@openhearth.org.
Workshop Leaders: Teach a worshop in your area of Pagan or metaphysical expertise for 30 to 40 minutes (DC & Baltimore Pagan Pride Days only). Note that acceptance of a workshop is subject to the discretion of the OHF Board of Governors.
Shuttle Drivers: Help transport people from the College Park Metro & the designated remote parking lot to the event site and back (DC Pagan Pride Day only).
Parking Attendants: Greet drivers as they arrive on site and direct them to available parking (DC Pagan Pride Day only).
First Aiders: Certified emergency personnel responsible for attending to incidents while contacting emergency services and waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Set Up/Tear Down Crew: Set-up and clean-up the site the day of the event, and help with site maintenance issues during the course of the event.
Event Runners: Work closely with Registration and Event Coordinators to maintain lines of communication and provide for onsite needs.
American Sign Language Interpreters: Interpret a shift during the day as preferred and/or be available on call from the registration table.
Greeters & Ambassadors: Welcome people to the event and help direct individuals with questions to points of interest. Direct photographers and reporters to the OHF's designated Press Contact. Work closely with the Event Coordinators, participants and the public throughout the day handling communications and coordination for event activities. Ambassadors may be faced with requests and questions from both event participants and the public. Ambassadors must be well spoken, even tempered, flexible and level headed in all types of situations.
Family Activity Helper: Work with our Family Activities Coordinator to provide fun craft activities for children and their parents.
